Christian J. Platt is a British freelance photojournalist currently living and working in Erbil, Iraq, where he has been based since September 2012.

Initially exploring the medium of photography in Tokyo and Japan, where he lived for 8 years, Christian then returned to the United Kingdom and successfully completed a Master’s Degree in Photojournalism from the University of Westminster in 2011. Since then, he has been building his portfolio and working with several NGOs in northern Iraq.
